For the 13th year in a row, GLS has been the general partner of the traditional charity project Donate a Toy, which is organized by managers in wheelchairs from the Tango association. All you have to do is click in the wish database again and GLS couriers will arrange free gift transport for children in children's homes and clients of social care institutions.
Last year, GLS transported more than six tonnes of gifts with a total value of over CZK 6.1 million. Donors can register on the app.daruj-hracku.cz website and make not only themselves happy, but especially children and people with various disabilities at Christmas.
Last week, we saw almost double the number of shipments handled (91%) in connection with the Black Friday discount event compared to the beginning of November. This year's seasonal increase started earlier than last year, with a 22% increase at the beginning of the month. People are also more likely to pick up parcels directly at pick-up points and boxes, where the carrier has registered an even higher increase.
We recommend ordering gifts from e-shops no later than December 18. If you take over the transport by Wednesday, December 20, 2023, we can guarantee delivery by Christmas Eve.

This year, for the fourth time, as part of the Entrepreneurs' Day of the Czech Republic, the four most interesting business stories were awarded, which received valuable prizes from GLS as the patron of the eŽena 2023 competition, including vouchers for parcel transport on the GLS e-Balík PROFI online portal, in the value of CZK 40 thousand for the winner, in the value of CZK 30 thousand for the second winner and in the value of CZK 20 thousand for the woman, which came in third place. The winner of the voting for the Public Award also received a voucher for the e-Balík PROFI service, worth CZK 20,000.

3rd place: Renata Jurenková, www.de-park.cz
A mother of three, a creative soul and an enthusiastic promoter of sewing and crafting, she runs an online sale of fabrics, haberdashery and tailoring patterns, which she invents herself.
Public Award: Miroslava Ježková, www.vinarstvijezkova.cz
The owner of a winery where she respects traditions and preserves the ever-fruiting vineyard of her grandfather, who planted it with his own hands in 1932.
The address label is now accessible from more sources!
1) As soon as you complete the transport order with submission to a GLS Pick-up point, it is possible to download the address label, order confirmation and, if necessary, a tax document when confirming the payment directly in the eBalik application.
2) You will also receive the same attachments in your email.
3) After logging in to their eBalík account, the registered user can download the label in the My Account - Orders - Address Labels.
Do you want to win a laptop, a smart watch, Lego or an original GLS winter cap? All you have to do is pick up your parcel at any of the 3,000 GLS Pick-up points and register its number for the draw on the competition website. Christmas is also about helping the less lucky one. And that's why for each parcel registered in our competition, we will contribute CZK 5 to fulfill the selected wish from Daruj hračku.
The more parcels delivered to GLS Pick-up points, the more joy we will bring to children from children's homes.
The first place in the Best GLS depot in the Czech Republic competition in the category of small depots for 2022 was won by the depot in Frýdek-Místek, which is only awaiting its third Christmas season this year. Under the leadership of Dalibor Matúš, who has been associated with GLS for ten years, and his wife Veronika, the depot quickly became one of the top of the peloton.
